Wedding in a cold season

The “wedding season” – is the time when the largest number of couples join their destinies together – usually it lasts from June to the end of October. Of course, wedding in sunny summer filled with lush greenery or in golden autumn with lovely leaf carpet all around is amazing. But you shouldn’t forget about such a wonderful time as WINTER! After all, what could be better than a crackle of snow, when all in the nature puts on the bride's wearing and every street turns to the corner of a dreamland?

Of course, there are some disadvantages in the winter wedding:
- Absolutely no greenery and very cold
- Wedding photos are not so bright and juicy
- Everything around is rather sad

However pluses of cold-weather weddings are still present. And quite weighty.

A note about fountains

Fountain splatter / Брызги фонтанаWhile making some photo notes for friends who by different obstacles don’t live in our beautiful city at the present time, I realized that those who have left Kharkiv just a few years ago, would not recognize it today. And at the next moment I got a clear picture in my memory: an interview with Alina Hanbabaeva five years ago.

Talking about her hobbies, Alina mentioned  the project " Not fountain " by magazine "Kharkiv. What. Where. When. ". The base of the campaign was simple: every reader could send information about abandoned fountain and in return got the publication of his photos in that place on the pages of the magazine. I don’t remember the exact number of participants of this project, but there were many pictures.

Only five years gone since then, but most of that images are history now.

Women’s fashion autumn trends

Prime members of the global fashion market, apparently, finally realized the role of ladies from post-Soviet countries in obtaining income. Perhaps, that is why the upcoming season does not teach how to dress, but in other way – gives up towards our, sometimes strange, sense of style.

ARTiSHOP - Kharkiv artistic & handmade trade fair

In 2010 lots of people in Kharkiv became fans of DIY and handmade trends. And two of them, Yana and Igor, who were also creators of bijouterie, decided to organize the “art” and “shop” fair for all ones, who make something, could meet those, who love to use such things.

First fair took place on march, 6 (2010) in the “House of Actor”. The atmosphere was amazing: bright colors, fantastic people, music and smiles. The main purposes of the “ARTiSHOP” were (and remain): to present a variety of handmade products, to promote "handmade" as a way of self-realization, to give visitors the opportunity to purchase unique things and help someone (charity events).

Wedding by screenplay (part 1)

Every girl from the first doll-game begins to dream about her future wedding. And then, while planning the event, most of the grown up girls go deep to the kind of euphoria. But if the whole image of one of the most important days in life seems to be more or less clear - details need some work. And as a source of inspiration comes everything: friends’ advice, specialized magazines, websites, television programs, and MOVIES, of course.

Searching for the main moments of preparation and songs, I reviewed more than twenty popular films dedicated to the celebration of a new family birth. Most of them demonstrate what you should NOT do on the way to your wedding, and ask the audience not to hurry with the choice.

Hope, my notes will be useful for your inspiration.

Michèle Mercier’ meeting with admirers in Kharkiv (may 2013)

Could I ever imagine that at the time of such high-tech development of the film industry I will see episodes of the movies, I’ve watches dozens of times in my childhood, on the big screen?

I can hardly know, what at the same moment felt those people, who stood in long queues to see those episodes many years ago (perhaps at the most exciting time of their youth)? And what emotions overflowed HER – a woman who was destined to give the world hope for happiness, barely leaving it for herself?

Sergey Moskalenko (Black Jack) - theater «P.S.» actor, tv presenter, emcee (sept.2008)

Karina Solomko (trend.kharkov.ua): It will be your birthday soon. Do you have any ideas about celebration
Black Jack: It’s a good question. I thought about it and came to the decision not to celebrate. There were some ideas, but I realized that I just want to stay home. I even used to turn off my cell-phone on my birthdays and read new messages on the next day. I don’t know how it will be this year, but I don’t want great celebration. Quietly, modestly, without big posters on streets with titles "fifteen years of his career”. I am so tired of pomposity, I want some great silence.

Designer Margarita Gutkina about plumart studio

Many girls know that even the smallest accessory can notably change the image. And there is nothing more interesting in life than changing things around you. I can’t say that handmade is easy, but I know that it is very exciting. In the end, everyone decides for himself: to leave this occupation at the hobby level or take all energy to make it more than hobby, that would gratify not only yourself, but also many people around

Fashion Designer Vlada Gurdina's blog: "About Ecological Design"

Modern clothes production processes are harmful enough for both the environment and people. The reflections and searching for solutions of this problem are included in the concept of "ecological" design that was formed in response to the negative results of the technological revolution. In addition to the global mission – taking care of the environment, the main task of the followers of this trend is the development of technologies for minimum consumption of natural resources with optimal durability of the final product.

Stylist-make-up artist Kateryna Leliuk talking about her work (jul. 2008)

"I think it is interesting for every girl. For me, in particular. From childhood I liked to draw, to think about something in make-up. I took my mother's cosmetics, and later, when I saw different pictures in the magazines - I tried to make them by myself. And when my father got close to this (fashion photography), and when I saw wonderful pictures, where beautiful girls were painted with amazing make-up, I understood – that’s mine!

Irina Usenko: Hi!
Black Jack: Today we're talking about fashion and we have a suspicion that you know something about fashion. In any case, you look like a person who probably understands the fashion. We say "probably", just in case, if suddenly you say that you don’t know anything about it. So, do you follow the fashion?
Irina Usenko: Generally, yes, but without fanaticism.
